Ecofill, a Leeds based aggregate replacement company have just been recognised as one of Insdier’s most exciting companies for 2023.
Insider Media, the UK’s most successful regional B2B media company, celebrated Ecofill as one of the region’s top innovators at a glitzy award ceremony, which took place at an exclusive city centre venue last night.
Ecofill is an innovative, green technology for the construction sector that transforms all types of on-site clays & subsoils into aggregate replacement products which meet all National and European specifications for Highways and Earthworks.
Their ground-breaking technology significantly reduces the need to dispose of soils to landfill by processing them on-site through specialist plant machinery and combining them with Ecofill binders which are formulated specifically to each project and ground type.
Among other benefits, the main result is vast savings in Co2 and other harmful pollutants by way of reduced lorry movements, and when compared to traditional methods can also save the client up to 40% in costs.
Dr Nigel Griffiths, Ecofill’s Chairman and a former UK Minister for Construction, was delighted with the award. He added, ‘Ecofill’s growth in such a brief period is testament to how Ecofill is helping to decarbonise construction, and of course to the drive and determination of the Ecofill team, of whom I’m extremely proud. Receiving this award proves that Ecofill is a change-maker and that the immediate and enormous benefits of Ecofill are obvious, even to those outside of our industry.’
Insider’s six regional B2B magazines are read every year by over 200,000 subscribers and they host circa 140 market-leading events including award dinners in all regions outside London. Insider also has the UK’s only nation-wide network of regional news emails with 140,000 subscribers and a web site with over 250,000 unique users.
The awards, now in their 5th year, highlight up-and-coming businesses ‘tipped for big things’ under seven years old who are making their mark and who are set to make ‘instant impact’.
Ecofill have recently launched the Ecofill Innovation Hub where potential customers can witness the Ecofill technology at work. The Innovation Hub, based in Selby, North Yorkshire has played host to colleges and education institutes and almost 100 National & International organisations operating in the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, South Africa, Middle East, Canada, USA & Ireland.
Nigel concluded, “The award is the perfect example of how promising 2023 is for Ecofill. Everyone here would like to thank Insider Media, and we look forward to sharing the exciting journey with you all.”
